IX Stages of Purification: Wind Quintet # 2
This is a live recording of the March 6, 2015 premiere, performed by quintetto Anemos at the Italian Consulate in Paris, France in a celebration of International Women’s Day. Composed by Kathryn J. Potter
© Kathryn Potter 2014

Kathryn Potter heard this music in a dream, after she composed her first wind quintet "Songes d'un cœur épris", commissioned by quintetto ANEMOS, but before meeting and working with them. After she met and worked with them for a week, she later composed this quintet specifically for these instrumentalists playing and personalities. She gave it to them as a gift and they gifted her with this performance and recording.
