Freya's Friday blogs focus on philosophies, and exercises which cultivate and nourish the artist deep within. Today we return to the SKY exercises.
This week, 3x daily in a 24 hour period, when you go outside and look up into sky, add to the exercise a focus to pay special attention to unique qualities of the air. Notice the humidity, temperature, motion....
To reiterate the earlier SKY exercises...
1) LOOK UP: 3 times a day, go outside and look up at the sky. Observe how you feel emotionally before during and after.
2) BEING IN THE SKY: Do the above, yet now, keep in mind - or imagine, ( except where you touch the ground), you are in the sky.
3) BREATHING IN THE SKY: Continue step two - and as you are being in the sky, breathe in the sky and imagine that the sky is in you while you are in the sky. How do you feel knowing the sky is dancing inside your lungs - and the air that was in you is now dancing out into the sky? What do you think about what was in your lungs is now dancing in the sky?
Application: How would this influence how you'd write, paint, design, sculpt or compose etc? How might this week's exercise influence dream work - or what you notice in dream state? How do nuances of air quality influence you in the art of being alive?
With increased perspective, comes increased awareness.
Enjoy - and wishing all a lovely, lovely weekend.
To the muse!
